~ Mother ~ the book

In 2010, my beautiful friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was one of more than 15,000 Australian women who receive this diagnosis  every year.  I felt so helpless, but so desperately wanted to DO something.

Eight years later, she has been cancer-free for 7 years, and I've worked out that I can do something to help by raising funds for breast cancer research!

Over the past three years I have photographed 82 amazing women and their families for my book, called ~ mother ~ , and raised close to $3,000 for breast cancer research.

I want to double that this year, with funds raised being donated to the Wesley Breast Clinic here in Brisbane.

So how does it work?
1) Firstly, apply to be part of the project - I would love to know a little bit about you and your family.

2) You will be emailed some possible dates so we can find a date to suit.

3) Once we have confirmed a date for your session, I will send you a link to pay the $100 donation. This will be donated directly to The Wesley Hospital Breast Clinic and locks in your session time. It covers your session, and a double page spread of you and your family in the next edition of the book.

4) You will come to my studio at Bardon for our pre-session consultation. This is a really relaxed opportunity for us to get to know each other, for you to ask me any questions you may have, for us to discuss how and where you'd like to be photographed, and for us to talk about styling and wardrobe for you and your family.

5) We'll have a fun relaxed family session, where I will capture a range of images of your family.

6) A week or two later, you will come back to the studio to view your photos. This will be your opportunity to purchase photos of your family if you wish, and I will be able to show you the image/s that I plan to include in the book.

Then, when I have photographed 30 women, I will design and print the book, and let you know that it is available to purchase if you wish.
